Captain S. P. Sanghi (Late)
Founder
Late Capt. S. P. Sanghi was the Founder of SAH & SANGHI Group of Companies. He started with the dealership of Hindustan Motors in 1958 in Bhilai (M.P.) where the new steel plant was being set-up.
Thereafter, the business expanded to Bombay / Thane in 1960 with the Dealerships of Bajaj Tempo Limited for commercial vehicles, Bajaj Auto Limited for VESPA scooters and Hindustan Motors for cars.
With the active participation of his sons, the business continued to grow with
branches in various parts of the country holding franchises for different automobile manufacturers.
SAH & SANGHI Group is now a well-known and recognized name in the Automobile Industry.
Capt. S. P. Sanghi was the President of Federation of Automobile Dealers
Association in 1976. Besides the business, he was a keen Golfer and took an active part in the activities of the Willingdon Sports Club, the Indian Golf Union, the Addicts Golfing Society of Western India, the Western India Golf Association. He was also an active Rotarian.
Mr. Ranjan Sanghi is a Director and Partner in the Sah & Sanghi Group of Companies. Being associated with the automobile business for over five decades, he continues to manage sales, finance and investment operations of the Sah & Sanghi Group of Companies.
After graduating from Sydenham College with a commerce Degree, he did Law at the Bombay University. Ranjan has been trained in the Automobile Field at the Vauxhall Motors, Luton, U.K., a subsidiary of General Motors Limited in U.S.A. in 1970. He had the honour and privilege of being invited as a guest by the Japanese Foreign Ministry to Japan as a “Leader of the Younger Generation of India” in 1983.
Ranjan has served as President of the Western India Automobile Association – 1990-1991. Represented the Group at the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association and the Indian Roads & Transport Development Association.
Ranjan holds directorships of several private and public limited Companies such as Bajaj Finance Limited, HDFC Trustee Company Limited, Kemp & Company Limited, Morarji Textiles Limited, to name a few.
Ranjan has been President of the Bombay Gymkhana Limited – 1995-1997 and also Chairman of the Balloting Committee from 1993-1995. He is a keen sportsman and has always encouraged and supported various sporting activities in the city / country. He has served as Vice President and President of the Squash Rackets Association of Maharashtra from 1999-2004 and 2004-2014 respectively.

Mrs. Jyoti Sanghi Ahuja

Jyoti joined the business in 2015 after the loss of her dear brother Rajesh, who was the Sanghi family scion and an integral member of the business.
On the professional front, Jyoti qualified as a Solicitor from England (1998) after completing her LLB at Government Law (1995) and B.Com at Sydenham College (1991), Mumbai. She worked with Wadia Ghandy & Co., Solicitors for a number of years (Corporate / opinion and advisory work).
Currently, a Director with Sah & Sanghi Group, Jyoti assists with sales, services and operations of the Company.
Jyoti has been an academic excellence student, and an outstanding sportswoman and was awarded the General Proficiency Award at both school and college. She was the first lady elected as Chairperson of the Student’s Council at Government Law College (1994-1995).
Jyoti was National Badminton Champion at the age of 13 and has been Bombay District & Maharashtra State Champion for over 10 years in a row (1983-1993).
Jyoti represented India at the All England Badminton Championships (1992) and was a member of the Uber Cup Team.
Despite her professional commitments, Jyoti has contributed her valuable time and expertise to many social causes. She has been Chairperson of the J.B. Petit School P.T.A. and a member of the Managing Committee (2011-2014). Also an elected lady member of the Balloting Committee at the Bombay Gymkhana (2012-2015).
She also supports various charities such as the Chakshu Foundation (building toilets for women in Maharashtra), REAP Foundation (providing education and care to slum children) and the Sanghi Family Trust.
Rajesh Sanghi joined Sah & Sanghi in 1993 and was a Director and Partner at the time of his untimely demise in 2014. He managed all dealership activities including Fast Aid – a comprehensive solution of fast-aid services for automobiles that he initiated, and the Sah & Sanghi Maruti Driving School.
He held an MBA from the Warwick Business School, U.K. in addition to a B.Com. Degree from R. A. Poddar College, and completed his schooling from St. Mary’s, Mumbai.
Other stints included Diageo in 2006 as Manager of Business development and Travel Retail in India and Asia, and later Carma Consulting, specializing in travel retail.
Rajesh was an outstanding sportsman, achieving rare accolades from scoring a century on debut in first-class cricket for Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy (a feat only a few have been privileged to achieve), to playing his finest at the Mercedes Golf Tournament days before he passed away.
He captained the Cricket Club of India, Dadar Union, Poddar College and Mumbai – U-15 Cricket team.
Rajesh was extremely proud of being an MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) member and enjoyed playing at his favourite Lord’s cricket ground every summer.
Above all, Rajesh was a fine human being, who touched the lives of many in his special way.
